Iranian actress Mandana Karimi, who came to India to pursue a career in Bollywood, has said that it’s time for her to leave the country and she has her reasons for doing so. This statement comes at a time when the Iran and Israel conflict, which has also engulfed the UAE, has taken centerstage.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actress was quoted saying, “Yes, the moment this regime ends I will go, anyway I am leaving now, my bags are packed. I am leaving India anyways. I feel like I am breaking up with India ans it is very difficult for me. Because I came to India when I was very young and India has given me everything, my modelling, my acting career and the loves and the friends in India.”

Mandana Karimi sparked widespread attention this week by praising US President Donald Trump, calling him a liberating figure for Iran in the wake of the reported death of the country’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Karimi shared a picture of Trump and wrote, “Dear Mr President, Iranian people will remember you the way Israel remembers Cyrus the Great.” She drew a parallel between Trump’s actions and the legacy of the ancient Persian ruler, whom many consider a historic liberator.
In her message, Karimi invoked Cyrus the Great, a 6th-century BC Persian emperor renowned for establishing a vast empire and for policies of tolerance toward diverse cultures and religions. By likening Trump to Cyrus, Karimi suggested that Trump could be seen as a figure who might help usher in change in Iran.
