From Tehran to Jerusalem and Riyadh, the American and Israeli war on Iran has triggered visa crisis and embassy closures across West Asia.
Several countries have announced closures of embassies and consulates, such as the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, India, Canada, and Switzerland. American diplomatic missions have been attacked in multiple cities in the region.
After the United States and Israel launched an offensive against Iran on Saturday, killing Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and dozens of top leaders and attacking military and political sites, Iran retaliated with strikes on Israel and American troops, military bases, and diplomatic missions across West Asia.
In the continuing war, American embassies in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait City, Kuwait, have been attacked.
In the wake of spiralling conflict, several countries have closed their embassies and consulates. While India has suspended regular services in Doha, Qatar, emergency services continue there and other missions in the region continue to remain functional, according to the latest information.
Meanwhile, India has repeatedly urged Indians to leave Iran by any means available lately.
