“We are friends and allies for very long. There have been blips. See the current tariff situation as one more situation that will pass as there is a deeper understanding of the reality,” Goyal said.
Goyal stressed that the two countries would continue to expand ties.
“We will continue to be friends, be engaged and have greater economic, defense relationships. I am confident the relationship will strengthen in the future,” he added.
Goyal added that India would continue to rely on diplomacy and patience to resolve trade issues.
“India is a patient country and will give every effort to come to a better and deeper understanding within international trading law’s framework. India believes in dialogue and diplomacy,” he remarked.
