President Donald Trump on Thursday announced $10 billion in US funding for the “Board of Peace,” his initiative aimed at stabilising Gaza, despite limited support from Western democracies that typically back Washington-led efforts.
“I want to let you know that the United States is going to make a contribution of $10 billion to the Board of Peace,” AFP quoted Trump as saying during the inaugural meeting, which brought together around two dozen world leaders and senior officials, including several of his authoritarian-leaning allies.
