Until now, the Rumion was only available with 2 airbags on the S and G trims, and 4 airbags on the top V trim. Now 6 airbags are available across the range. Additionally, the top V trim has also been updated with a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Toyota has also silently updated the Rumion with third-row AC vents, and relocated the middle-row AC vents from the ceiling to the floor in between the front seats; the second-row middle seat also gets a head restraint. These updates were silently introduced on the Ertiga in July, and the same has now made it to the Rumion.
