The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder has become the second Maruti rebadged model in the company’s portfolio to sell over 1,00,000 units at the wholesale level in India. Toyota achieved this milestone in September (see wholesales data table below), and at the end of October, the Toyota Hyryder had clocked a total of 1,07,975 units.

  1. Hyryder accounts for about 1/4th of Toyota sales in Apr-Oct 2024
  2. Toyota Hyryder sixth in mid-size SUV sales in FY2024; 19th in HY2025 first half

The Toyota Glanza hatchback, born of the Maruti Baleno, was Toyota’s first rebadged model to register 1 lakh sales. By the end of October, the company had dispatched 1,91,029 units of the hatchback to dealerships.

Currently, four badge-engineered models in India bear the Toyota logo – the Rumion (based on the Maruti Ertiga), Urban Cruiser Taisor (based on the Maruti Fronx), Glanza and Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
