‘The Kerala Story’ actress Adah Sharma has been a part of the Hindi film industry for the last 16 years. She made her debut in the year 2008 with Vikram Bhatt’s film 1920 and was also seen with Sidharth Malhotra in Hasee Toh Phasee in 2014. The actress stepped out in Lucknow on the streets to savour some of the city’s delicacies.
Adah captioned the post- “Smile, you are in Lucknow 💜🍇 Some moments from last night’s street party.”
She was mobbed by fans and this is what happened next:
One fan wrote- “To reach such incredible heights and still remain so humble and grounded is the rarest kind of grace. Saw her live on the The Lallantop stage during her interview.”
The comment added, “Her simplicity, warmth, and authenticity shine so effortlessly. What a beautiful soul inside and out. Sending lots of love from Lucknow.”
Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Adah Sharma’s The Kerala Story talked about a group of women from Kerala who are forced into converting to Islam and joining the Islamic State. Based on a true story, the film is premised on the Hindutva conspiracy theory of “love jihad” and claims that thousands of Hindu women from Kerala have been converted to Islam and recruited into the Islamic State.
The film is all set to have a sequel called Beyond The Kerala Story and amid that,
Adah spoke about her memories of working in the first film. The actress said, “I’m blessed to be in the film . I’m blessed that the audience accepts me in all kinds of roles.”
Sharma added, “The way people talk about the scenes in detail and the way they tear up when they meet me is so touching. When we made the film we knew we were making something really special. Everyone on set had that feeling . But we didn’t know it will become the highest grossing female lead film of all time in India.”
