The wedding of star Indian women’s cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal had been postponed indefinitely after her father Shrinivas fell ill in the lead-up to the ceremony, which was scheduled to take place in Sangli, Maharashtra last month.
Mandhana is emotionally attached to her father, who has been a constant source of support in her cricketing journey. There have been a lot of speculations about the reasons for the wedding being put on hold, with no confirmation from either side. But
Palash’s sister and known singer Palak Muchhal has spoken about the postponement in an interview with Filmfare.
Palak said, “I think the families have been through a very tough time. Like you just said, I would want to repeat that we would like to believe in positivity at this time. We would like to spread positivity as much as we can. We are also trying to stay strong.”
Who is Palash Muchhal?
Palash Muchhal is an Indian music composer, songwriter, and filmmaker who rose to prominence in Bollywood at a young age. He is the younger brother of singer Palak Muchhal and is known for composing music for films like Dishkiyaoon and Bhoothnath Returns. Muchhal is also a filmmaker who has directed numerous music videos and is currently directing the film Raju Bajewala.
Mandhana’s father has his cardiac enzymes elevated
“At around 1.30 pm, Mr Srinivas Mandhana got left-sided chest pain, we call it ‘angina’ in medical term. As the symptoms surfaced, his son called me, we sent ambulance, he was shifted to hospital. We found out in ECG, other reports, that cardiac enzymes are elevated, hence we need to keep him in observation,” he told PTI.
Choreographer Mary D’Costa on alleged involvement with composer
Muchhal’s chats were leaked online and their authenticity is yet to be verified. There have been allegations of cheating and choreographer Mary D’Costa’s name has cropped. D’Costa has shared a note to clarify her stance.
