Tata Sierra waiting period details
Waiting period differs based on the powertrain option
Our dealer sources have revealed that the Tata Sierra’s waiting period ranges between 3 and 4 months. We previously reported that customers prefer the diesel engine more than the petrol options. This is also reflected in the waiting period, where the naturally aspirated petrol and turbo-petrol options have a lesser waiting period than the diesel version, but the difference in delivery timeline is 2-4 weeks. Moreover, customers are preferring automatic transmission over a manual gearbox, with the former having a 15-30 day higher waiting period than the latter.
The Sierra is available in seven trims: Smart, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished, and Accomplished+. Our dealer sources have suggested that the higher-spec trims of the Sierra are in more demand, and thus have higher waiting periods than the lower-spec trims.
In terms of colour options, the Sierra is available in Andaman Adventure, Pristine White, Pure Grey, Bengal Rouge, Coorg Cloud and Munnar Mist. Among these, the Munnar Mist option will make you wait the longest.
The Sierra comes with a 106hp, naturally aspirated petrol, a 160hp, turbo-petrol and a 118hp, diesel engine options. Except for the turbo-petrol engine, which is offered only with an automatic transmission, the other two engines also offer a manual gearbox choice.
The Tata Sierra is priced between Rs 11.49 lakh and Rs 21.49 lakh, and is a rival to mid-size SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Renault Duster, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Toyota Hyryder and Honda Elevate.
Prices are ex-showroom, India.
