After revealing the exterior and interior of the Punch facelift earlier this week, Tata Motors has now revealed new details about the sub-compact SUV’s trim lineup and features. The 2026 Tata Punch will be offered in 6 trim levels: Smart, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Accomplished and Accomplished+ S.
- Tata Punch to get new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine option
- Gets a new Punch-EV inspired exterior design
- Interior gets new features like an updated digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera
2026 Tata Punch revised trim lineup
The pre-facelift Punch was offered in 10 trim levels: Pure, Pure (O), Adventure, Adventure+, Adventure S, Adventure+ S, Accomplished+, Accomplished+ S, Creative+ and Creative+ S.
Tata Motors has simplified the Punch lineup with fewer trims on offer. Smart is now the new base trim, while the previous top-spec Creative+ trims have been scrapped.
2026 Tata Punch trims and features explained
Smart
Right from the base Smart trim, Tata Motors will be offering six airbags, ESC and TMPS; previously it only got 2 airbags across the range. It will also come with LED headlamps, remote keyless entry and drive modes (City and Eco).
Pure
The Pure trim will add rear AC vents, steering mounted controls, a front centre armrest, rear defogger and a day/night interior rear-view mirror.
Pure+
This trim will further add an 8.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, a reverse parking camera, height adjustable driver’s seat and a USB Type-C fast charger.
Adventure
Next, the Adventure trim will be quite well equipped with features like a push button start, rear wiper and washer, auto AC, auto headlamps and rain sensing wipers. A 360-degree camera and blind-view monitor, available from this trim, are completely new additions on the Punch.
Accomplished
The Accomplished trim will add 16-inch alloy wheels, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, LED daytime running lamps, touch-based climate control panel and extended thigh support for the seats, the latter two being new additions.
Accomplished+
Lastly, the Accomplished+ will get voice-assisted electric sunroof, LED fog lamps with cornering function, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster (new), wireless phone charge, auto-dimming IRVM and a connected car suite.
Tata Punch engine options
The updated Punch will get a new engine option under the hood. The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine seen on the Nexon will be making its way to the Punch, although its exact specs and gearbox options are yet to be confirmed. The existing 88hp naturally aspirated petrol with its 5-speed MT and AMT gearboxes and the 73hp petrol+CNG powertrain with the 5-speed MT are also expected to continue as is.
Upon launch, the Punch facelift will continue to rival the likes of the Hyundai Exter and the Citroen C3. The outgoing Punch was priced between Rs 5.50 lakh and Rs 9.30 lakh, ex-showroom. We expect the Punch facelift to come at a slight premium, likely ranging between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 9.50 lakh.
