Tata Xpres Petrol and CNG variant details
Powering the Tata Xpres petrol is a 1.2-litre engine producing 86hp and 113Nm of torque, and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only. The Xpress CNG pairs a CNG kit to the petrol engine, though power figures in CNG mode have not been confirmed. It features twin 70-litre (water capacity) tanks that preserve most of the boot space. Meanwhile, the petrol variant offers a boot space of 419-litres.
Moreover, both variants come with a dual-tone interior and feature 14-inch steel wheels with black covers. But it misses out on features like an infotainment system, and a vehicle location tracking device with panic buttons, something which Hyundai offers on its fleet models. While these features can be retrofitted, it is not offered as a factory level fit by Tata. The model also skips on features like rear AC vents and Type-C charging ports.
Tata is offering a standard warranty of 3 years/1,00,000km, which can be extended to 5 years/1,80,000km. The car maker is also offering flexible finance options and has established fleet-focused dealerships in select cities, offering sales and service support to cater to fleet customers. Other car makers who have previously launched fleet-only vehicles include Hyundai, Toyota, and Maruti Suzuki.
