According to trade estimates from box office tracker Sacnilk, Border 2 saw an increase in its collection on Saturday (Day 2) compared with its opening day. The film reportedly added around Rs. 36.70 crore on Day 2, taking its two-day total to about Rs. 66.70 crore in India.
The film opened at Rs 30 crore, with a
strong advance booking to its favour, despite it being a non-holiday.

The upward trend reflects strong occupancy in theatres, with Saturday shows drawing larger crowds than the opening Friday thanks in part to the patriotic theme and extended weekend.

Strong start fuels weekend expectations

Border 2 opened with an impressive Rs. 30 crore nett on Day 1, making it one of the biggest opening days for a Bollywood film this year and ranking among notable January releases at the box office.

With positive momentum from the first two days and the Republic Day holiday on Monday still ahead, it can be predicted that Border 2 could cross significant weekend milestones. In fact, if all goes well, the film might even inch really close to the Rs. 150 crore mark by the end of its extended weekend if the audience grows. At the current rate, the film will definitely earn around Rs 130-140 crore over the extended weekend.

Comparison with other films

Border 2’s performance comes amid ongoing box office battles with other recent releases. Its two-day total positions it ahead of several new titles released in January, underlining its early commercial strength in a competitive window.

Meanwhile Dhurandhar, which dominated screens in late 2025, has wound down its theatrical runs with strong lifetime totals, and looks like it has not left much impact on the Sunny Deol-starrer’s collection.
