Opening Bell on Monday, June 3, 2024: Indian equities hit record highs in opening deals on Monday on the back of exit polls, which indicate a clear victory for Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The BSE Sensex zoomed 2,622 points, or 3.5 per cent, to hit new lifetime high of 76,583 levels, while the NSE Nifty50 climbed 807 points to 23,337 levels.
All the stocks were in the green on the Sensex led by Power grid, L&T, NTPC, and SBI
In the broader markets, Nifty SmallCap rose 2.73 per cent while MidCap jumped 2.5 per cent.
