Mrunal Thakur on her insecure boyfriend
In an interview recently, the actress spoke about her boyfriend and how he was insecure when she was working with some of the most smoldering actors of the industry. Thakur was quoted saying, “In the initial stages of my career, I was shooting with Hrithik Roshan, then Shahid Kapoor. And I’m an only long-distance person, I think it’s the best because you can then focus on your work.”
She added, “This guy, who was a Scandinavian, thought that I was hanging around and shooting with a lot of good-looking men. So, he started working out. Lost like some, 15-17 kgs. He got muscles. Later, I found out that after a point, he stopped working out, started eating, and gained 20 more kg. He said he’s tired of catching up, but I was like, I never asked you to lose weight. It was his insecurity. I never made him feel like I needed to date a man who has muscles.”

Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film marks a fresh on-screen pairing of the young stars in a thoughtful love story set against the backdrop of contemporary urban life in Mumbai. Most importantly, the film is simple and good to see two beautifully flawed people finding strength in each other.
The plot revolves around Roshni (Mrunal Thakur) and Shashank (
Siddhant Chaturvedi ), living in Mumbai who fall in love with each other and most importantly love each other the way they are. It’s a perfectly imperfect love story that we hardly get to see in today’s Hindi cinema where actors are so obsessed with their looks. There is something indeed very refreshing about metro-city love story and it is good to see filmmakers exploring it.
