Renault India has announced a price hike of up to 2 percent, which will come into effect starting January 1, 2026. The decision comes due to rising input costs and fluctuating currency exchange rates, among various other factors. The price revision will apply to all three models in the French brand’s line-up, which includes the Kwid, Triber and Kiger.

  1. Price hike will vary from model to model
  2. Brand yet to disclose model-wise price breakdown
  3. Two new Renault models expected to be launched in 2026

Renault price hike 2026: Here’s what you can expect

Pre-hike prices effective till the end of December 2025.

The subcompact Kwid is the most affordable model in Renault’s line-up, currently priced between Rs 4.30 lakh and Rs 5.88 lakh. After the hike, the Renault Kwid could start at around Rs 4.38 lakh and go up to Rs 6 lakh for the top trim. While the base Authentic trim comes in only single-tone colour options, the top-end Climber trim is available in dual-tone colours that cost an additional Rs 10,900 over the single-tone options.

Renault Triber facelift front three quarter static

Starting January 2026, the base Renault Triber could start at around Rs 5.88 lakh, with the top Emotion trim likely priced at about Rs 8.55 lakh. For context, the Triber currently costs Rs 5.76 lakh to Rs 8.39 lakh. Meanwhile, the Renault Kiger is priced from Rs 5.76 lakh to Rs 10.34 lakh. Considering a 2 percent hike, the Kiger’s revised price range is likely to be around Rs 5.88 lakh to Rs 10.54 lakh. While the Triber’s dual-tone colours cost an additional Rs 21,000 at the moment, the Kiger’s dual-tone colours are a no-cost option on select trims. However, with a noticeable dip in prices owing to GST 2.0, all three models should remain competitive within their respective segments.

New Renault SUVs expected in 2026

One will be the new Duster, with the other being its 7-seater stablemate.

New Renault 7-seater SUV spied

As reported earlier, Renault is expected to launch two new models in India next year. The first of these is the latest generation of the Duster SUV, which is set to reach our shores by summer 2026. The other SUV headed for India is the 7-seater version of the new Duster, though its arrival is predicted around the last quarter of 2026. Both are likely to be powered by the same 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing approximately 156hp and paired with a manual or a CVT automatic transmission.

The lower variants of these SUVs are likely to get a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine as seen under the bonnet of the Kiger, but offered in a higher state of tune to counter the added weight.

All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
