Nissan Gravite exterior design
Many of the Triber’s soft parts have been changed for the Gravite
As stated previously, the Gravite’s styling is largely based on that of the Triber. However, the Nissan MPV sports different DRL signatures in the headlights, unique wheel designs, redesigned bumpers with C-shaped silver inserts, ‘GRAVITE’ lettering on the bonnet and tailgate and a honeycomb-patterned grille. The Gravite is also available in distinct colour options, namely Forest Green, Onyx Black, Blade Silver, Snow White and Metallic Grey.
Nissan Gravite interior and features
Largely the same as the Gravite’s cabin
Inside, the Gravite is mostly similar to the Triber in terms of the layout and 5+2 seating configuration, though the colour scheme and some trim pieces are unique. The dashboard is simple in its design, comprising a three-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel, a trio of climate control knobs and lots of storage spaces, and in higher trims, a central 8-inch infotainment touchscreen and 7-inch digital driver’s display.
Other features of note include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, push-button start/stop, cruise control, automatic LED headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, 6 airbags, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, parking sensors, steering-mounted controls, a wireless charging pad, a cooled glove box, a reverse camera and a tyre-pressure monitoring system.
There’s also a limited-run launch edition (1,001 units) of the Gravite, which will additionally pack a JBL sound system, dual-channel dashcam, ambient lighting, and more.
Nissan Gravite engine and gearbox
72hp 1.0-litre petrol motor only
The Gravite borrows the Triber’s 1.0-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 72hp and 96Nm, and can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. For the Gravite petrol-MT, Nissan claims a mileage of 19.3kpl, while in AMT guise, the compact MPV delivers 19.6kpl.
Nissan will soon offer a dealer-fit dual-cylinder CNG kit for this engine too, albeit in manual guise only.
All prices are ex-showroom, India.
