Designed as a connected listening experience rather than standalone singles, Homecoming features Kheta, Vari Jaun, Ghunghat, and Hichki—tracks that move through themes of love, longing
Acclaimed pop singer and live performer Purva Mantri has released her much-anticipated album Homecoming, a four-track, one-of-its-kind music series that blends folk-rooted storytelling with contemporary pop sensibilities. The project marks a creative return to her cultural roots while staying aligned with her bold, high-energy #Purvastic musical identity.
Designed as a connected listening experience rather than standalone singles, Homecoming features Kheta, Vari Jaun, Ghunghat, and Hichki—tracks that move through themes of love, longing, femininity and emotional memory. Sonically and visually, the series evokes a distinct ’90s-inspired mood, taking listeners back to a time of innocence and emotional depth, while seamlessly travelling through spaces of romance, subtle sci-fi imagination and rooted tradition.
The emotional centre of the series is “Hichki”, the primary focus track, which stands out for its restraint and vulnerability. In contrast to Purva’s larger-than-life stage persona, Hichki reveals a quieter, introspective side—where silences and pauses carry as much weight as melody. The track reflects emotions that remain unspoken yet resurface unexpectedly, making it one of her most honest performances to date.
“Homecoming is an emotional return to the stories and sounds that shaped me” , says Purva Mantri. “While my journey as a pop performer has been loud, energetic and unapologetic, this series allowed me to pause and listen to myself. These songs come from memories, from the traditions I grew up with, and from emotions we often don’t voice. I wanted to honour my roots without losing my identity as a contemporary pop artist,” she added.
