PM Narendra Modi says trade negotiations will pave the way to unlock ‘limitless potential’ of India-US ties

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to US President Donald Trump’s post on Truth Social earlier on Wednesday morning, which said that he looked forward to speaking with his “good friend”, PM Modi.

In his post on “X”, PM Modi wrote that India and the US are close and natural friends and that he too, looks forward to speaking with President Trump soon.

India and the US are close friends and natural partners. I am confident that our trade negotiations will pave the way for unlocking the limitless potential of the India-US partnership. The exchange marks the second such between the two leaders over the last few days. Over the weekend, Trump said that he will always remain friends with PM Modi and that such issues happen in relationships. PM Modi had responded to Trump’s remarks back then as well.

Additionally, sources have also told CNBC-TV18 exclusively that India and the US officials are likely to have an exchange of trade delegations soon and that both officials are likely to have an in-person meeting later this month.
