Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold a meeting with leading economists and subject matter experts on Tuesday, December 30, at 11 am at NITI Aayog, as part of the government’s ongoing consultations ahead of key economic decisions.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will also take part in the interaction, which is expected to focus on a wide range of economic issues. The meeting is likely to serve as a platform for experts to share their views and assessments on the country’s current economic situation and future priorities.

According to sources, PM Modi is expected to listen to suggestions and perspectives from economists on the upcoming Union Budget. Discussions are also likely to cover areas where further reforms may be required to support growth, strengthen macroeconomic stability and address emerging challenges.

The economic outlook, both domestic and global, is also expected to be a key theme during the interaction. Experts are likely to present their views on growth prospects, fiscal management and structural measures needed to sustain long-term development.

Such consultations with economists and industry experts are a regular feature of the government’s pre-Budget exercise, aimed at incorporating a broad range of inputs before finalising policy decisions. The interaction at NITI Aayog is expected to provide valuable insights as the government prepares for the next phase of economic planning.
