Prime Minister Narendra Modi leveraged his personal ties with US President Donald Trump and finalised a trade deal that is the best compared to all our neighbours and competitors, Union commerce minister Piyush Goyal has said on the India-US trade agreement.

In a press briefing, Goyal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi leveraged his personal ties with US President Donald Trump and “finalised a trade deal with the United States of America that is the best deal compared to all our neighbours and countries that compete with us”.

Goyal further said that the deal would protect sensitive sectors like dairy and agriculture.
