Addresses Colombo Security Dialogue in New Delhi, Doval said, “The Ocean is our greatest shared heritage, and as countries connected by maritime geography, it is our responsibility to ensure stability, security, and safety of the region.”

On Thursday, Doval hosted his counterparts from the Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, with Seychelles participating as an Observer State and Malaysia attending as a guest.

The Council of National Security Advisors (CSC) was established to foster closer collaboration among member states on critical security issues and to strengthen partnerships for enhancing regional security in the Indian Ocean.

Aligned with this objective, the 7th Meeting of the NSAs aims to provide participants an opportunity to review activities under key cooperation pillars — Maritime Safety and Security; Countering Terrorism and Radicalization; Combating Transnational Organized Crime; Cybersecurity and Protection of Critical Infrastructure; and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief — while discussing the Roadmap and Action Plan for 2026.
