Netanyahu said Israel and the US launched a joint operation against Iran to remove what he called an “existential threat.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel’s joint operation with the US was launched to “remove the existential threat” posed by Iran, addressing Israeli citizens in a video statement.
Netanyahu said Israel and the US had embarked on the operation to counter what he described as a terror regime seeking nuclear weapons that could threaten humanity. He thanked Donald Trump for what he called “historic leadership” and warned that Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear arms.
He said the joint action was intended to create conditions for the Iranian people to determine their own future, calling on different ethnic groups in Iran to “cast off the yoke of tyranny” and establish a free and peace-loving country.
Netanyahu also urged Israeli citizens to follow instructions issued by the Home Front Command, saying the coming days under Operation “Roar of the Lion” would require resilience and unity. He added that Israel would stand together, fight together and ensure the country’s future.
