Under the hood, the Countryman JCW packs a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 300hp and 400Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox, and it comes in all-wheel drive configuration as standard. Mini claims a 0-100kph sprint time of 5.4 seconds.

For reference, in markets abroad, the regular Countryman All4 gets a 360hp, 2.0-litre petrol engine, so the JCW variant produces 40hp more than the regular

There are also large air intakes with red accents at either edge of the bumper. In profile, its marked out by sporty-looking alloy wheels, red brake callipers and a John Cooper Works logo on the C-pillar garnish. At the back, the bumper gets a dual-tone treatment with red accents, a pronounced spoiler and quad exhaust tips.

On the inside, the Countryman JCW carries forward with the regular dashboard design, but distinguishes itself red accents and ambient lighting, red contrasting stitching and sporty-looking pedals. The central infotainment screens also get JCW-specific graphics.

The JCW Pack version of the Countryman Electric was just limited to 20 units for India, and it remains to be seen if that will be the same for the ICE Countryman. Prices can be expected to be around the Rs 70 lakh mark (ex-showroom).
