Michelle Obama’s documentary ‘Becoming’ began streaming on Netflix roughly six years ago. It may have found time to find its audience but finally it has and how. And this viewership surge happens to be at a time when the globe has witnessed the release of Melina Trump’s documentary Melania.
On Jan. 25,
_Becoming_ had roughly 2,450 total views, while a week later, just days after “Melania” was released, the Obama documentary swelled to 330,270 views.

Richards told the Telegraph that he received a considerable number of emails from the public criticising the decision to screen the film. “I have told everyone that, regardless of how we feel about the movie, if it is BBFC [British Board of Film Classification] approved we look at them and 99% of the time we will show it.”

She looks back at the time when she met him at Harvard University, where she was her research mentor. “He had this Obama kinda voice, which made me feel like it’s not your regular nerd,” she says, prompting the live audience to erupt in laughter.”
The review added, “In the documentary, there is only a passing mention of the post-natal depression she underwent after giving birth to her children. She has given a detailed account of the same in the book but the documentary sticks to her struggles of keeping up with the marriage.”
