Mercedes has launched the new Maybach EQS SUV Night Series at Rs 2.63 crore at the ongoing Auto Expo 2025. The carmaker also displayed the new CLA concept for the first time in India alongside the all-electric G 580, which went on sale last week at Rs 3 crore (ex-showroom). Mercedes also has its existing line-up of AMG cars on display at its pavilion at the event.
Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV Night Series
The Maybach EQS 580 SUV comes with a new Night Series package that brings a blacked-out theme for exterior elements. The front grille panel and headlamps get rose gold inserts, while a dark pinstripe complements the dual-tone paint finish. The SUV also gets blacked-out Maybach-spec 21-inch wheels. The blacked-out theme extends to the interior, and it gets Maybach-specific Nappa leather and a Night Series animation in the instrument cluster. Under the skin, the EQS Night Series continues with dual electric motors generating a combined output of 658hp and 950Nm of torque. The 122kWh battery pack returns a WLTP range of 611 kilometres on a single charge.
Mercedes G 580 (electric G-Wagon)
The Mercedes G 580 is closely related to its ICE-powered G-Wagen – it looks virtually identical inside out and continues to be underpinned by a ladder frame chassis. It is powered by a 116kWh battery with a claimed WLTP range of 473km and uses four electric motors (one on each wheel) for a combined output of 587hp and 1,165Nm of torque. Mercedes says the G 580 has a 0-100kph time of less than 5 seconds and a top speed of 180kph. However, it is aimed at delivering off-road performance. In fact, Mercedes claims the G 580 is even better than the regular G-Class with regard to off-road performance. Features like the G-turn and G-steering are unique abilities of the G 580 enabled by the quad-electric drivetrain.
Mercedes SL 55 AMG, S 63 E Performance AMG and E 450 LWB AMG Line
From the house of AMG, cars like the 476hp-SL 55 4Matic+ Roadster and 802hp-S 63 E Performance are also on display at Mercedes’ pavilion. Ex-showroom prices for the former and latter are Rs 2.44 crore and Rs 3.30 crore, respectively. There’s also the E 450 4Matic AMG that brings a sportier look to the E-Class LWB. Mercedes currently sells the long-wheelbase E 450 for Rs 92.5 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
