Maruti Suzuki has commenced exporting the Victoris to various foreign markets from the ports of Mundra and Pipavav in Gujarat. The first batch had India’s largest automaker shipping just over 450 units of its new midsize SUV under the ‘Suzuki Across’ nameplate, meant specifically for various emerging markets.

The Victoris will eventually be sold in over 100 countries outside of India.
The Victoris joins the growing list of Maruti Suzuki cars that are already sold in various foreign markets. Some of its other models include the Fronx and e Vitara, with the latter primarily being shipped to Europe. On the other hand, the Suzuki Across will be exported to emerging markets in Africa and Latin America, along with the Middle East.
Suzuki already has the Across being sold in the United Kingdom, albeit one that is based on the Toyota RAV4. This UK-specific version of the Suzuki Across is offered as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and is not related to the Maruti Victoris-based Across currently being shipped to the above-mentioned markets, save for the name.
Based on the market, the Suzuki Across will remain mechanically similar to its Maruti Victoris counterpart in India. This means that under its bonnet will be a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 103hp and 139Nm of torque, mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Select markets will also get the Suzuki Across hybrid powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine developing a combined output of 116hp, with an e-CVT being the sole transmission.
Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “If we look at growth of India’s passenger vehicle exports in the past five years from CY2020 to CY2025, while the rest of industry grew by 1.43 times, Maruti Suzuki exports grew by 4.67 times. The addition of Victoris will further support our export ambitions, and we are hopeful it will be well received in international markets.”
