Maruti Suzuki has launched the e Vitara at Rs 10.99 lakh ex-showroom, which is exclusive of the battery. Customers will have to pay an additional Rs 3.99 per km driven, where the battery is provided on a rental basis. The carmaker is yet to reveal the full price list of the car, exclusive of the BaaS rental program. The starting price for e Vitara listed is that of the 49kWh battery pack, in the Delta trim.

The SUV has a muscular look overall
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara takes inspiration from the Maruti Suzuki eVX concept revealed at Auto Expo 2023. The front gets all-LED headlamps and thick cladding for the bumper, and the grille has shutters that open and close to cool the battery when needed.
Moving to the side profile, the e Vitara has muscular protrusions and aero-optimised 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets a spoiler, LED tail-lamps connected by a transparent bar, chunky cladding for the bumper, and the Suzuki emblem and e Vitara branding at the centre of the tailgate.

Gets a unique asymmetrical interior and ADAS tech
The e Vitara has a dual-tone brown-and-black interior with soft-touch inserts. There’s a flat-bottom steering wheel, and the offset placement of the digital driver display and infotainment screens gives it an asymmetrical look. The higher-set centre console comes with a shift-by-wire gearshift.
As for features, the e Vitara comes with a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an Infinity sound system, a wireless charging pad, a fixed glass sunroof, ambient lighting, drive modes, ventilated seats at the front, a 10-way powered driver seat, sliding and reclining rear seats and connected car tech.
The safety features in the e Vitara include 7 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, a tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Level 2 ADAS and an electronic parking brake.

Comes with two battery pack choices in a 2WD setup
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is available with two battery pack options: the 49kWh pack with a front-mounted motor producing 144hp and a range of 440km (ARAI-rated) and the 61kWh variant with 174hp and 543km range. Both have the same torque output of 189Nm and come with a 2WD setup as standard.
The e Vitara rivals models such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Vinast VF6, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6 and Tata Curvv EV.
