Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition exterior and interior details
The Star Edition distinguishes itself from the regular Thar Roxx with a new gloss-black finish for the grille and alloy wheels. On the regular SUV, the grille is finished in body colour, while the alloys are finished in silver. Mahindra has also added a new Citrine Yellow exterior shade to the Roxx’s colour palette with this Star Edition, which with the contrasting black bits, does look quite bold and attractive. The Star Edition can also be had in Tango Red, Everest White or Stealth Black exterior shades. There’s also a Star Edition badge on the C-pillar.
On the inside, the light-coloured upholstery has made way for an all-black look with black leatherette upholstery with suede accents. The equipment list, however, remains unchanged from the AX7 trim. It continues with features like all-LED lighting, two 10.25-inch screens for instrumentation and infotainment, front ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, a 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, terrain modes and more.
Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition powertrain options
Under the hood, the Thar Roxx Star Edition carries over both the 177hp/380Nm, 2.0-litre petrol and the 175hp/400Nm 2.2-litre diesel engine options, but only the latter is available with both manual and automatic gearboxes; the Thar Roxx Star Edition petrol is only available with an automatic gearbox. Notably, the Star Edition is not offered with the 4×4 system at all, so its rear-wheel drive only.
