Kawasaki has revised the prices of its entire motorcycle lineup in India following last week’s GST revision, which raised the tax on motorcycles above 350cc to 40 percent. As a result, the popular Z900 now costs Rs 66,000 more, pushing its price past the Rs 10 lakh mark.

Kawasaki Z900 price after GST
Kawasaki Z900 price now crosses the Rs 10 lakh mark
Powered by a 948cc inline-four engine producing 124hp at 9,500rpm and 97.4Nm at 7,700rpm, the Z900 remains one of the most sought-after “big bikes” in India. For 2025, it received a comprehensive update with a ride-by-wire throttle, improved hardware, and refreshed styling. It comes with a host of electronic aids including cruise control, a bidirectional quickshifter, power modes, riding modes, traction control, and dual-channel ABS. These are managed via a new 5-inch TFT display, borrowed from the larger Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX.
Despite the price hike from Rs 9.52 lakh to Rs 10.18 lakh, the Z900 continues to offer strong value as one of the most affordable inline-four motorcycles in India, second only to the smaller Kawasaki ZX-4R.
At this price point, the Z900 finds itself in the same bracket as the Honda CB650R, now Rs 10.30 lakh – up Rs 70,000 post-GST – and the Triumph Street Triple R, currently listed on the Triumph website at its pre-GST rate of Rs 10.17 lakh, though a similar hike is expected soon.
All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
