Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s return to Anfield is highly unlikely but there are two teams with which he could come back into the dugout, as per the latest reports.

Klopp is currently working as Red Bull’s head of global football since January after he left Liverpool at the end of the 2023-24 season. He is reportedly happy with his role at Red Bull with which he is said to have a ‘strong identification’.

However, if there are two teams that can force Klopp to change his mind and fans could get a chance of seeing him on the touchline once again.

Real Madrid, Germany favoured destinations

Spanish giants Real Madrid are looking for a new manager after the
ouster of Xabi Alonso and Klopp is among the names who has emerged as potential targets for the role. Madrid are currently under Alvaro Arbeloa after Xabi’s dismissal following a loss to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final.

However, Arbeloa had a horror start as
Madrid lost to second-tier side Albacete in the Copa del Rey on his managerial debut.

A report in Sky Germany reveals that Klopp could be open to taking back a managerial role should the Los Blancos come calling. The report also claims that he will be interested in managing the senior German team if the opportunity arises.

Even though the report links Klopp to Real Madrid, he had ruled out any such possibility.

Talking to ServusTV, he said: “There were definitely a few people who felt they (Real Madrid) had to contact me directly about it. I think the rumours have been circulating for some time now and I know exactly what your question is getting at, but it has nothing to do with me.

“I was surprised, that’s true, genuinely surprised. Then a few people messaged me and I replied with various emojis. I really feel sorry for him, because I consider him a great coach. It has nothing to do with me and didn’t trigger anything in me either,” he said.
