The 2025 MRF MMSC Indian National Car Racing Championship concluded with the fourth and final round held at the Madras International Circuit on January 24-25. Ishaan Madesh and Sai Shiva Makesh Sankaran won the premier MRF Formula 2000 and Formula 1600 titles, respectively, while Biren Pithawalla defended his title in the Indian Touring cars category.
Other title winners included 80-year-old Vidyaprakash Damodaran (ITC 1625), Biren Pithawalla (Indian Touring Cars), Aman Nagdev (Polo Cup), Rithvik Thomas (Indian Junior Touring Cars), Joel Joseph (Formula LGB 1300) and Akshay Muralidharan (MRF Saloons).

MRF F2000 champion: Ishaan Madesh
Heading into the final round, Arjun Chheda held the lead in the MRF F2000 category. This lead was slashed to just two points when Madesh won the first race on Saturday. The reigning National Karting champion then followed that up with two back-to-back wins on Sunday to take a clean sweep and win the title.

Indian Touring Cars champion: Biren Pithawalla
Biren Pithawalla overcame a host of setbacks, including brake issues, drop in power and even an injury through the weekend to retain the title in the Indian Touring Cars category. While he didn’t win a race at the finale, he did finish on the podium in all three races and defeated his nearest championship rival Dhruv Chavan by 10 points.

Polo Cup champion: Aman Nagdev
Aman Nagdev won two races at the finale to clinch is maiden national title. This comes on the back of a truly dominant season that saw the teenager finish on the podium in nine of out 10 races, six of which were race wins. He finished 21 points clear of second-placed Aditya Patnaik, who also scored a 100 percent podium success rate this season.

ITC 1625 champion: Vidyaprakash Damodaran
For the 2025 season, the championship added a new Indian Touring Cars (ITC) category for cars up to 1,625cc. Only two racers competed in this new category at the finale – the championship’s oldest driver, 80-year-old Vidyaprakash Damodaran and his grand-nephew Nikanth Rambabu.
While Rambabu won all the races at the finale, Vidyaprakash’s performance across the season was enough and he scored just enough points to win the title.
