Steering wheel, screens borrowed from the Venue
Spy shots of the upcoming Hyundai Verna facelift have revealed a redesigned dashboard. The test mule is equipped with a black three-spoke steering wheel similar to the Hyundai Venue, featuring the Morse Code for the letter ‘H’ (….), a design element also seen on the Ioniq 5 and the Creta Electric.
A new digital driver’s display is also visible, appearing similar to the 12.3-inch unit offered in the Venue. Although the infotainment screen is not clearly visible in the spy images, it appears to be housed within the same freestanding panel as the driver’s display and is likely to be a 12.3-inch touchscreen unit. Currently, the Verna gets a 10.25-inch infotainment and a semi-digital driver’s display with a MID.
The dashboard further features red and white ambient lighting strips. Other features like a single-pane sunroof, powered driver seat and ventilated front seats are expected to be carried forward from the pre-facelift model.
The interior follows an all-black theme with red stitching, similar to the current Verna variants powered by the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. In the existing model, variants with the naturally aspirated petrol engine get a dual-tone black and beige cabin theme. The door design appears largely unchanged, retaining ambient lighting strips above the leatherette-wrapped armrest. The drive selector lever and climate control panel look similar to the pre-facelift model.

Thoroughly revised rear bumper with new diffuser
Along with the interior updates, the test mule of the facelifted Hyundai Verna also reveals a new rear diffuser on the bumper, now featuring a silver insert for added contrast. The connected LED DRL strip can also be seen, while the sedan continues to use the same 16-inch alloy wheels.
That said, earlier spy shots from South Korea had indicated the possibility of revised headlights, a detail that the latest India-based test mule does not clearly reveal.
Hyundai Verna facelift other details
Expected to be powered by the same petrol engines
The facelifted Hyundai Verna is expected to retain its existing powertrain options, including the naturally aspirated petrol engine and the 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit. Both engines are likely to continue with manual and automatic transmission choices. Notably, Hyundai has confirmed plans to introduce eight hybrid models in India across segments, and the Verna could be one of them. If introduced, it may become another mid-size sedan to offer a strong hybrid powertrain, alongside the Honda City Hybrid.
The Verna facelift is expected to command a slight premium over the current model, which is priced between Rs 12.72 lakh and Rs 20.11 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rival the Volkswagen Virtus, Honda City and Skoda Slavia, all of which are also slated to receive mid-cycle updates this year.
