After weeks of rejections, one of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sisters have been allowed to meet him in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail.

After weeks of rejections, one of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sisters was on Tuesday allowed to meet him at Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail, according to Dawn.

The meeting has been reported at a time when Khan’s supporters from Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) party had threatened to organise mass-protests.

Previously, sources close to Imran Khan had told CNN-News18 that Adiala Jail authorities would allow Imran’s sister Uzma and a vetted lawyer to meet the former premier under a strict gag order prohibiting discussions on social media.
