The IIFA Awards have been a part of the Hindi film industry for over 25 years. This is a ceremony that’s held abroad and brings the biggest of stars from Bollywood under one roof. Right From Canada to Amsterdam to South Africa to Abu Dhabi, the hosts keep changing but the spirit remains the same.
We now have IIFA Utsavam as well, which celebrates the best of the industry in India. Last year, the ceremony was held in Jaipur and for 2026, the venue is Hyderabad. The Government of Telangana has partnered with IIFA for the same.

Reddy added, “Telangana stands ready to welcome global partners, filmmakers, creators and investors to experience our culture, our confidence and our spirit of ambition. Through IIFA 2026, we will take the story of Telangana to the world, and through IIFA Utsavam in Hyderabad from 2026 to 2028, we will bring the world back to our State. By hosting IIFA Utsavam for three consecutive years, we aim to cement our position as the cultural capital of South India and a rising global hub for film-led tourism and the creative economy.”
**What happened at IIFA in Jaipur this year?**
The 25th International Indian Film Academy Awards, also known as the IIFA, was held on 8–9 March 2025, at the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre in Jaipur.
Laapataa Ladies led the ceremony with 9 nominations, followed by Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with 7 nominations, Stree 2 – Sarkate Ka Aatank with 6 nominations, Article 370 with 5 nominations, and Kill with 4 nominations.
