There’s a near consensus that Fed cutting rates will leave the RBI with more ammo to shore up growth. The question is whether it will fire in October or later.

96.2% of market participants are expecting a 25 basis-point rate cut by the US Federal Reserve on September 16, according to the CME Fedwatch tool. Many believe that the move may make space for another cut in repo rate by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) when the monetary policy panel meets on Mumbai’s Mint Street three weeks later.
