Honda Topline dealerships to contact owners
Topline dealerships will begin taking bikes in for inspection starting today.
Aligned with Honda’s global market action, it has announced a voluntary recall for the CB1000 Hornet SP. Honda says this is due to the heat from the exhaust causing part of the seat’s painted surface to soften resulting in the gear change pedal pivot to likely loosen. If the bolt becomes loose due to this heat-related softening, it can fall off while riding, which may lead to problems while shifting gears.
As a preventive measure, Honda will be individually contacting owners, notifying them about this potential issue and taking their vehicles in for inspection. Additionally, Customers can also check if their vehicle falls under this campaign by submitting their 17-digit VIN (Vehicle-identification-number) on Honda’s website. The replacement of the affected parts will be carried out at BigWing Topline dealerships across India starting from January 2026 onwards.
