Reports by the BBC and other Gulf media outlets say that members of the Palestinian terrorist group have already voted, while those who are in the West Bank or in Israeli jails are expected to cast their votes for delegates to the movement’s 50-member general Shura council. The council is tasked with selecting the Politburo, which will, in turn, appoint an interim leader.
