French President Emmanuel Macron said he would travel to London on Monday to meet Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy as well as the British and German leaders, to discuss the situation in Ukraine and ongoing negotiations under US mediation.

”Ukraine can count on our unwavering support. That is the whole point of the efforts we have undertaken as part of the Coalition of the Willing,” Macron said on X.
”We will continue these efforts alongside the Americans to provide Ukraine with security guarantees, without which there can be no robust and lasting peace. For what is at stake in Ukraine is also the security of Europe as a whole,” he added.
Macron sharply criticised the latest wave of Russian strikes, saying he “strongly condemns” the overnight attacks that targeted Ukraine’s railway network and energy facilities. He accused Moscow of deliberately escalating the conflict rather than seeking a diplomatic solution.
“Russia is committed to an escalatory path and has no intention of pursuing peace,” he said, stressing that sustained international pressure is essential to push the Kremlin toward a settlement.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported that widespread military activity disrupted Ukraine’s power grid overnight, forcing nuclear plants to scale back electricity generation. The Zaporizhzhia nuclear facility — Europe’s largest — briefly lost all external power during the night, according to IAEA chief Rafael Mariano Grossi.
