Finland President Alexander Stubb will visit India from March 4-7 on the invitation of PM Narendra Modi and attend the 11th Raisina Dialogue, 2026, in New Delhi.

Finland President Alexander Stubb will visit India from March 4-7 on the invitation of PM Narendra Modi and attend the 11th Raisina Dialogue, 2026, in New Delhi. He will be the Chief Guest of the premier geopolitical forum.    

According to the MEA, the visit will see President Stubb accompanied by a high-level delegation of ministers, senior officials and business leaders, with the aim of strengthening bilateral ties and broadening cooperation between India and Finland across key sectors.

Engagements in Delhi 

During the visit, President Stubb will attend the 11th Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi as the Chief Guest and keynote speaker. The release noted that this will be his first trip to India since assuming office as President.

Beyond his participation in the Raisina Dialogue, Stubb is scheduled to hold talks with the PM Modi aimed at advancing bilateral ties and reviewing key regional and global issues of shared concern.  

The visit will also feature discussions on cooperation in multilateral forums, alongside efforts to strengthen people-to-people links and economic partnerships. After the talks, Prime Minister Modi will host a luncheon in his honour, the release added.

During his visit, the Finnish President will also meet with President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President CP Radhakrishnan. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will also meet President Stubb.

Mumbai visit 

After concluding his engagements in the capital, President Stubb will travel to Mumbai, where he is scheduled to meet the Governor and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He will also engage with business leaders and address students at the University of Mumbai.

India-Finland relations 

India and Finland share a warm and multifaceted partnership rooted in shared democratic values. Finland is an important partner for India, both within the European Union framework and across the Nordic region.

President Stubb’s visit comes close on the heels of Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo’s trip to India for the AI Impact Summit in February, underscoring both countries’ shared intent to deepen cooperation and strengthen their bilateral partnership.
