The XDiavel V4 is the more laid-back sibling of the Diavel V4, not in terms of power, but in its ergonomics. It was unveiled globally earlier this year, and Ducati India has now teased the XDiavel V4 on its official social media channels ahead of its India launch.

1.  XDiavel also comes with a more laid-back rider’s triangle and a wider handlebar
2. It tips the scales at 226kg and has a 770mm seat height
3. Features a larger 6.9-inch TFT dash, shared with the Panigale V4

Ducati XDiavel now uses a chain-drive

It weighs 6kg more than the Diavel V4

The XDiavel V4 is mechanically identical to the Diavel V4. Unlike the erstwhile V-twin powered XDiavel 1260 that used a belt-drive, this XDiavel continues to use the same chain-drive as the Diavel V4. The XDiavel is powered by the same 1,158cc, V4 engine that powers the Diavel V4 and produces identical power and torque at 168hp and 126Nm, respectively. Even the braking and suspension hardware is shared with the Diavel V4.

The XDiavel differentiates itself from the Diavel with a more relaxed rider’s triangle and forward-set footpegs. The alloy-wheels also have a different design and the overall silhouette flows better than the Diavel V4, which has a few more cuts and creases.

Since the XDiavel V4 is Ducati’s interpretation of a cruiser, it has forward-set footpegs and a swept-back handlebar for a more relaxed rider’s triangle. The company will also sell you mid-mounted footpegs as an accessory. Ducati also claims to have worked on the pillion perch, making it wider and more accommodating. The XDiavel V4 has a 770mm seat height that is 20mm lower than the Diavel V4. The global-spec model tips the scales at 226kg (without fuel), that’s about 6kg heavier than the Diavel V4.

The electronics suite on the XDiavel V4 is also shared with the Diavel, with one crucial difference. The XDiavel uses the same 6.9-inch TFT display as the latest Panigale and Streetfighter V4 models.

Bookings for the XDiavel V4 have commenced and we expect this model to sit above the Diavel V4 that is currently priced at Rs 29.08 lakh.
