Arijit Singh’s retirement all of a sudden shocked a lot of his fans and the people within the industry. We now have music composer Vishal Dadlani say something about it but in a rather cryptic note. Singh was a part of the Hindi film industry for more than 15 years and lent his voice to more than a 100 songs.

Vishal Dadlani penned a note that read- “Learn anything? Success does not guarantee peace or contentment. Riches & power don’t guarantee safety. Life is strange, life is short. Don’t waste a single moment lying to yourself about yourself. Don’t try to be what somebody else said you must be! Live. Fully. Best advice I can give.”

In the caption, he wrote, “All we truly have is the thin sliver of “now” that exists between memory and hope.”

Amid his retirement, there’s an old interview of the singer that has gone viral where he spoke about the reality of playback singing. Singh was quoted saying, “You first have to decide whether you wish to do playback singing or sing your own song. If you want to do playback, you have convince 100 people in the industry that they will like your voice. Someone wants a voice like Kishore Kumar. You have to match up to every expression of the hero you are singing for”
