Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav is finally out of Tihar Jail after he surrendered himself in the Rs 9 crore cheque bouncing case related to his directorial Ata Pata Laapataa. He even spoke to the press and thanked the industry for their support. In a recent interview with News Pinch, businessman Madhav Gopal Agrawal of M/s Murali Projects Pvt Ltd, the man who lent him the money to make his film, has revealed a lot of details.

The businessman has revealed he cried like a child and requested the actor to repay the amount back, but he was informed by Yadav that the amount would be paid after the film releases.
Rajpal Yadav was lent Rs 5 crore by Agrawal. All the cheques that were given to the businessman bounced which led him to file the complaint.

Yadav, known for movies such as “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi”, “Waqt”, “Phir Hera Pheri”, “Partner”, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa”, “Hungama” and “Chup Chup Ke”, was sent to Tihar jail after the Delhi High Court rejected his plea seeking more time to repay outstanding amount in a cheque-bounce cases. The actor has to pay nearly Rs 9 crore.

Actor issues first statement post bail

“I will complete 30 years in Bollywood in Mumbai in 2027. People from all over the country, children, old and young, are with me… The way the entire country and the world, my Bollywood, has loved me, if there are any allegations against me, I am available to answer. Thank you, High Court…”

Following Rajpal Yadav’s brief imprisonment in Delhi’s Tihar Jail over a long-running Rs. 9 crore debt dispute, several viral videos and online posts suggested that leading Bollywood stars,  
particularly Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn, had intervened financially to secure his release.

Many from the film industry, including actors Sonu Sood,  
Gurmeet Chaudhary and music composer Rao Inderjit Yadav, offered financial assistance to the family and urged others to do the same.
