The BMW X3 30 xDrive available overseas is available with a 2-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 255hp. It will be mated with an 8-speed Steptronic transmission, which sends power to all the wheels (AWD). All of this helps it clock a 0-100kph run in 6 seconds. The current-spec model comes with a 190hp, xDrive 20 and 197hp, xDrive 20d trims, which complete a 0-100kph run in 8.5 seconds and 7.7 seconds, respectively.

Notably, both the currently available xDrive 20 versions come with the M Sport additions, but the upcoming 30 xDrive model will get the M Sport Pro package. While model-specific details of this package are yet to be known, it can come with some sportier trims and additional features to justify its ‘Pro’ tag.

The upcoming BMW X3 30 xDrive is expected to carry over the other features from the other trims, including the dual-integrated displays, a head-up display, a 15-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a wireless phone charger and a panoramic sunroof.

The current-spec X3 is priced between Rs 72.10 lakh and Rs 73.20 lakh, and the upcoming X3 30 xDrive is expected to be priced at a slight premium owing to the more powerful engine and the M Sport Pro badge. It will continue to rival the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5 and Land Rover Discovery Sport in India.

Prices are ex-showroom, India.
