India’s two-wheeler industry posted record sales in the year gone by, surpassing the 20 crore unit mark. Sales numbers for the last month of CY2025 have come in and here’s how each of the big six two-wheeler brands in India performed.

Hero: 4,19,243 units

Hero retained its top spot in the market, albeit with a significant 26.52 percent decline in comparison to its festive season aided November 2025 sales of 5,70,520 units. However, in comparison to its sales in December 2024 (2,94,152 units), it reported a large 42.53 percent increase. Exports too saw an increase to 37,236 units in December compared to 33,970 units in the month prior.

Recently, Hero updated its sporty 160cc commuter – the Xtreme 160R 4V – with a new design and a segment-first feature.

Honda: 3,92,306 units

Honda continues to trail Hero in the marketplace and in December it reported a rather large 26.49 percent decrease compared to its sales for November 2025 (5,33,645 units). However, the company reported a 44,81 percent increase compared to its December 2024 sales total of 2,70,919 units. With 53,742 units exported last month, even overseas sales saw a small drop in comparison to its November 2025 exports which stood at 57,491 units.

Honda is working on bringing the Rebel 300 to India later this year and a new localised electric scooter too is in the offing, one that will address the shortcomings of its debut electric scooters.

TVS: 3,30,362 units

Just like Hero and Honda ahead of it, TVS too reported a month-on-month sales decline of 9.64 percent in comparison to its sales for November 2025 (3,65,608 units). However, the Hosur-based company reported a rather large year-on-year increase of 53.60 percent when compared to its December 2024 sales tally of 2,15,075 units. It bears mentioning that TVS doesn’t bundle the sales of its iQube electric scooter – one of the bestselling electric scooters in the country – into the number above. TVS is India’s second largest exporter of two-wheelers with 1,30,709 units sent abroad in December 2025, which was slightly lower than the 1,32,233 units it sold overseas in November 2025.

Recently, TVS launched a new variant in its Ronin lineup called the Agonda Edition and the company will soon start scaling up the deliveries of its Apache RTX 300 adventure bike.

Bajaj: 1,32,228 units

Bajaj too follows the trend set by the companies mentioned above in that it reported a big 34.71 percent decrease compared to its November 2025 sales tally of 2,02,510 units while reporting a small 3.03 percent increase in comparison to its sales for December 2024 (1,28,335 units). It bears mentioning that sales of the Chetak electric scooter – one of the top selling EVs in India – are bundled into the number above. Bajaj remains India’s number one export player with 1,78,125 units exported in December 2025, representing a small increase in comparison to the 1,77,204 units it exported in November.

Bajaj recently updated its Classic Pulsar models with some new features before these bikes undergo a proper generation change later in the year.

Suzuki: 97,823 units

Bucking the trend of its peers, Suzuki actually reported a 1.52 percent increase in comparison to its sales in November 2025 (96,360 units). It reported an even bigger 24.09 percent increase when compared to its December 2024 sales of 78,834 units. Compared to the 25,940 units Suzuki exported in November, it sent slightly fewer two-wheelers overseas in December – 24,543 units.

Suzuki is readying an all-new Gixxer portfolio which is expected to debut at the end of 2026 and you can also expect the long overdue e-Access to launch in the coming weeks.

Royal Enfield: 93,177 units

Just like Suzuki, Royal Enfield actually reported a 3.07 percent increase in comparison to its sales in November 2025 (90,405 units). It reported an even bigger 37.24 percent increase in comparison to its sales numbers for December 2024 (67,891 units). In comparison to the 10,265 units it sent abroad in November 2025, RE sold marginally more bikes overseas in December – 10,397 units.

Royal Enfield is likely to launch the new Bullet 650 soon and you can also expect the Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Goan Classic 350 to be updated with the slip/assist clutch seen on their siblings.
