Bentley India first showroom opens in Mumbai

Bentley India has inaugurated its first dealership in Mumbai, where the British ultra-luxury carmaker has three of its models on display and available to order. This follows three months after Bentley established its dedicated India division under Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd. Bentley previously operated in India via private importer Exclusive Motors.

Located in Nariman Point and built in collaboration with Infinity Cars, Bentley’s Mumbai showroom is claimed to be a “state-of-the-art experience centre,” where the company has the Bentayga EWB SUV, Continental GT coupe, and Flying Spur limousine on display. Bentley also says that interested customers can place orders for these models, though prices have not been announced.

More Bentley India showrooms are on the way too, with the next one scheduled to open in Richmond Road, Bangalore. After that, Bentley will open a showroom in Delhi, though precise details around this one remain hazy.

Flying Spur and Continental GT get V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain in India.

Per Bentley India’s official website, the Flying Spur and Continental GT are available with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain that develops 782hp and 1,000Nm. It remains to be seen if the entry-level 680hp V8 PHEV powertrains for the Flying Spur and Continental GT will make it to India in the future. As for the Bentayga EWB, it’s powered by the same 550hp, 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 as before.
