British boxing star Anthony Joshua was reportedly involved in a car crash while holidaying in Nigeria, according to multiple media reports.
The former two-time world heavyweight champion is currently spending time in Africa after his
recent win over YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in Miami. Joshua knocked out Paul in the sixth round less than two weeks ago, registering his 29th victory from 33 professional fights.
Joshua’s car crash video goes viral
As per reports, the accident took place around 11am local time on the busy Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Monday. Unverified videos circulating on social media showed Joshua sitting in the passenger seat of a damaged vehicle, with broken glass visible around him.

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that they were aware of the incident but said more details were still awaited. Speaking to Daily Mail Sport, Hearn said he was on a family holiday when he woke up to the news. “I am away on a family holiday and awoke to the news of this incident,” he said.
“We are trying to contact Anthony, and in the meantime, we don’t want to speculate on how he is, but thankfully, he appears OK from what I have seen in the images. We are awaiting more information on what has happened and will update in due course,” Hearn added.
