Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has moved out of Royal Lodge in Windsor and relocated to the Sandringham Estate as pressure mounts over his links to Jeffrey Epstein
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has vacated his residence in Windsor and relocated to the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
The former prince moved out of Royal Lodge on Monday night and is currently staying in a temporary property on the Sandringham Estate while renovation work is carried out on his long-term accommodation, as per BBC. It is understood that he will eventually settle at Marsh Farm, also located on the estate.
Buckingham Palace said in October that Mountbatten-Windsor would move out of Royal Lodge at the same time his title of prince was stripped. At the time, a palace statement said that “formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease.” The move followed weeks of scrutiny over the rent being paid to the Crown Estate, which owns the property.
Although his permanent base is now in Norfolk, Mountbatten-Windsor is expected to return to Windsor in the coming weeks to collect his remaining possessions. He was last seen there on Monday, riding on horseback near Royal Lodge, and was later photographed driving away from Windsor Castle, waving to onlookers.
The Sandringham Estate is privately owned by the King, who will cover the costs of his brother’s new home.

Jeffrey Epstein, which he has consistently denied involved any wrongdoing.
Most recently, a second woman has come forward via her lawyers, alleging that Epstein trafficked her to the UK in 2010 to have sex with Andrew at his Royal Lodge residence. This claim, currently under review by British police, includes the detail that she was later given a private tour of Buckingham Palace as part of the visit.
Recently released documents include images said to show Mountbatten-Windsor kneeling over a woman, as well as email exchanges with Epstein after the financier pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor.
