A fresh test mule of a Royal Enfield Continental GT cafe racer has been spotted testing in India but its hard to tell whether its the updated 650 or the new 750. Both bikes are in the works with the latter slated to launch first followed in a few months by the former.

Which RE Continental GT has been spotted this time?
Test mule features some resemblance to the 650 but has multiple new parts
The test mule seen here doesn’t have a quarter fairing like we’ve seen on some previous Continental GT spy images. The engine block isn’t clearly visible in these images, although the bare metal finish on the casings is similar to the 650cc model. What is apparent however is that the shiny chrome exhaust mufflers have been redesigned and appear shorter front to back although they still do jut out a fair bit. These slimmer end cans should address – at least partially – one of the biggest concerns with riding the Continental GT in traffic.
Some other new bits that can be observed are that the single piece seat and the subframe both taper upwards and appear to be a different design than the current Continental GT 650’s flatter units. This test mule is also using LED indicators and a single-pod instrument console, although it’s hard to tell whether it’s using Royal Enfield’s Tripper TFT dash or the simpler digi-analogue display.
While this Continental GT test mule is using progressive springs for its rear suspension – like the current 650 – one noteworthy change is that these new shocks aren’t gas-charged like the current model’s. The bar-end mirrors too appear to be more rectangular in shape rather than the circular ones seen on the current Continental GT 650. Twin disc brakes are another change compared to the current ‘Conti’, although these have been seen on multiple previous occasions.
Royal Enfield is going to have a busy year ahead with the launch of its Flying Flea electric bikes in a few months as well as a slew of updated and new 750cc models also entering the market.
