The Kerala Story 2 box office collection Day 6: Vipul Shah’s controversial film crosses Rs. 20 crore in India after a Holi boost during weekdays. Here’s the day-wise breakdown.

The box office run of The Kerala Story 2 has received a noticeable boost during the Holi period, helping the film cross the Rs. 20 crore mark in India within six days.

Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the controversial sequel has shown fluctuating weekday trends but managed to hold steady thanks to festival-driven footfalls. According to trade estimates, the film’s six-day total now stands at around Rs. 20.15 crore net in India.

While the opening day was relatively slow, collections jumped sharply over the first weekend and saw another spike during the Holi holiday.

The Kerala Story 2 day-wise box office collection

Here is the day-wise India net collection of the film:

– Day 1 (Friday): Rs. 0.75 crore

-Day 2 (Saturday): Rs. 4.65 crore

-Day 3 (Sunday): Rs. 4.75 crore

-Day 4 (Monday): Rs. 2.5 crore

-Day 5 (Tuesday): Rs. 4 crore

-Day 6 (Wednesday): Rs. 3.5 crore (rough data)

Total: Rs. 20.15 crore

Weekday fluctuations after strong weekend

Like many films driven by weekend footfall, The Kerala Story 2 saw a drop after Sunday, with collections dipping on Monday before stabilising again mid-week. The Holi festivities helped bring audiences back to theatres, resulting in an uptick on Tuesday and relatively steady numbers on Wednesday.

Sequel trails the original’s momentum

Despite crossing Rs. 20 crore in its first week, the sequel is still trailing behind the momentum of its predecessor, The Kerala Story, which had opened to far stronger numbers and went on to become one of the most talked-about films of the year.

The coming weekend will be crucial in determining whether the sequel can sustain momentum at the box office. So far, the performance has been steady, and given there is no big release this week, the film might see a steady run in its second week as well. Whether it would be able to recover its budget of Rs. 30 crore from its box office run itself depends a lot on its second weekend performance.
