Deepika added, “It takes unlearning bullshit reactions, sitting with discomfort, and not letting emotions run the show.”
Deepika Padukone joining the cast of the Hollywood show The White Lotus was a rumour that began two years back, but no confirmation about the same was made. And then dropped a report by Variety India that she refused to audition which was a mandatory process in the West.
As the rumours continue to fuel,
the actress has dropped a cryptic post on Instagram that reads- “Becoming calm is the loudest flex. Anyone can lose their shit, react fast, talk loud, and make noise. That takes zero strength. Real power shows up when chaos hits, and you don’t fold. When drama tries to pull you in, and you stay grounded. When life pokes you again and again, and you still choose control over impulse. Yeah, it takes work.”
Deepika added, “It takes unlearning bullshit reactions, sitting with discomfort, and not letting emotions run the show. Calm isn’t weakness; it’s mastery. It’s knowing you don’t have to prove anything, explain everything, or react to everyone. While others burn energy panicking, you move quietly, clearly, and on purpose. In a world addicted to noise, staying calm is a damn superpower.”
A source told the portal, “Auditions are a mandatory part of the casting process for The White Lotus. The makers were very keen on auditioning actors before signing them on. Deepika was not keen on auditioning and that was the reason why the White Lotus opportunity had to be passed.”
The Spirit controversy
That’s not all, the fiasco between
Deepika and Vanga has been garnering headlines for quite some time, a new report then emerged discussing the actress’ demands for Spirit.
“The actor had reportedly demanded ₹25 crores for approximately 35 days of shoot, along with a 10% profit share, extensive entourage expenses, and even expressed unwillingness to deliver dialogues in Telugu—something the director felt strongly about. To top it off, confidential plot details from Spirit were allegedly leaked, which raised serious concerns among the producers,” the source told News18.
